Hello my name is Heather I have three children and I'm 29 years old. I just graduated from SDSU my major is Social Work with a minor in art. I really really love art. I presently live in SanDiego California. The reason why I wanted to become a member of this site is because I would like to further understand dialysis because my mother is having a difficult time dealing with it. I would like to try and make the process easier for her. My grandmother also was in dialysis until her passing. I hope to chat and get to know some of you. So please feel free to contact me anytime.
Thanks Heather

Welcome, Heather.
You have come to the right place. I hope your mom can find some peace with dialysis. Even though we "hate" dialysis, it is the gift of life in many regards.

Welcome to the boards. We have a great caregivers section. It is great you are trying to help your Mom cope better with doing dialysis. Sometimes it seems to take over our lives!

Welcome to our community, Heather! Your name sounds like one from my country, only the last name is spelled with an 'e' at the end. It is always great when people join our group because of concern for a loved one. There is lots of helpful information here, and also great support. This isn't just a website - it is a genuine family, caring and sharing
Just keep reading and keep posting. Let us know how your mom is doing. And it is clear you need to look after yourself as well and be pre-emptive and proactive (how's that for buzz words!).
