I'm pretty sure I introduced myself a couple of years ago, but since I don't see it, I'll do it again.

I'm Inara.  Mostly a lurker.

I am the primary caregiver of a former patient named LESLIE.  I was her dialysis nurse for about 5 years, then made the decision to transfer out of my clinic in order to care for her on a permanant basis (the social worker also helps up on the DL).  I'm 37 with a 17 year old daughter....Leslie is 35 with a 17 year old daughter......our daughters are best friends, and I'm happy to say that Leslie and I are best friends also.  I have no regrets about leaving my post to care for her.

Leslie and I are HUGE fans of IHD!!  I drag my pc over to her house as much as possible and we just laugh and laugh at some of the things we read.   We especially LOVE Rerun!  lol.....  Girl, you got nothing on the people we've both met!!

Anyway, let me bottom line this:  I hope to become a part of your community as both a caregiver, a voice for my girl Leslie, and as a dialysis nurse (and yes, I'm an awesome stick  :yahoo;).

In any case, thanks for reading this!

Welcome back to our community!   It is great that you re-introduced yourself.  Let us know how Leslie and the girls are doing (and yourself as well, of course).  Yours is a wonderful task - that of giving care.  I know it is also very demanding.  Thankfully, you have your IHD family  :grouphug; to come to, to have a laugh from time to time!
Looking forward to hearing from you.
