Hi Everyone,

I am looking for some information.  My husband's stomach is very bloated. His doctors have been trying different medications and nothing seems to be working. He went for a CT scan yesterday. Today we found out his fistula is not working properly again, I have to take him tomorrow to have an angioplasty to open up the clots again.  I called to find out his results today so I could have and deal with anymore bad news.  The doctor told me his abdomin is filled with water and his bladder is over extended and filled with urine.  They don't know what is causing this, and they are going to catherize him during his angioplasty to empty his bladder and then he might be hospitalized. Has anyone had anything like this before and could you tell me what causes this and how they repair it?  I would appreciate any info!!
Thanks,
Heidi

Sorry I missed your post....my guess would be there is a blockage somewhere.

What did you find out?

I hope everything has turned out ok.

John had this happen when he was rushed in to emergency, when they diagnosed Kidney failure back in January 2007. He was put on a catheter straight away and I remember they drained off over 4 liters.  In the weeks before he went in I could smell urine sweating out of his body and also on his breath.
