As many of you will know, I have been campaigning for dialysis facilities for the new hospital due to be built near us. This has finally been agreed after a lot of campaigning and initially 4 dialysis beds will be provided.  BUT the Govt has now said that due to the recession they won't fund the new hospital  as promised.  We are devastated but will not be easily beaten .

We have set up an on line petition to the Prime Minsister and I am asking turning to my IHD family and asking if all the British, any ex-pats, anyone in an overseas territory, a Crown dependency or on the British Armed Forces oversees would please, please sign - here is the link.

Thank you all.
Rose

Hi Aleta
If you (or any other IHD member) have any contacts who are in the UK etc then perhaps you could forward the link to them.  Thanks for the good wishes

We've managed to get 40 signatures in a day - we need 500 to make sure a Minister reads and responds to it.

Thanks to those of you who can sign and have, any Brit, Ex-Pat or inhabitant of Anguilla, AscentionIslands, Bermuda, Virgin Islands, Caymen Islands, Falklands, Gibraltar, Montserrat, Pitcairn Is, St. Helena, St Georgia, Sandwich Is, Trista Da Cunha or Turks & Caicos or member of the armed forces (presumably British forces but it doesn't say that!)can sign so if you know anyone who may be eligible please pass it on, or pass it on anyway as they may know someone.
Thanks all  :grouphug;

Thanks everyone for signing and forwarding this, the numbers are increasing and I have been contacted by local radio so hope to get more publicity soon.

I really do appreciate all that everyone is doing to help, it means such a lot - you really are wonderful, caring people.  :grouphug;

This is fantastic, thanks so much.  It had made the front page of our county evening paper and also the local radio news.  I just could not sit around and do nothing, even if we don't achieve we will know we tried.   :bunny:

Thanks everyone.   :2thumbsup;
Can I just ask you please to check to make sure your name has been added once you've clicked the link that they email to you - it's just that some people have signed up but their names haven't appeared (one was my Mum - it took 3 attempts to get her name on!).  Also please make sure the email they send hasn't gone into your spam.

Here's the link again http://petitions.number10.gov.uk/LudlowHospital/

The numbers are increasing every hour  :cheer:
