Blood Sample Mailing Drama

So last month, I had an issue with my mothly blood samples. They are supposed to be picked up by a specific courier (Tricor) but the lab(Spectra) that sends the mailing labels provides a UPS label. This was not a problem until UPS delivered a package to our house on the day I had set the sample out for a pick up by Tricor. I had to track down the package and get it to the correct shipper myself.
So, in the aftermath of this episode, I called Spectra and asked for non- UPS labels so that it would not happen again.
After a couple weeks, I gave up on seeing the labels.
Today, I packed up the samples, using the provided UPS mailing label. Of course, UPS delivered another package today, and picked up the samples in error again.
The package they delivered? The Non UPS labels from Specrta, of course.

I know this was frustrating, but what a laugh I had.

Murphy's law has a special code for dialysis, doesn't it?

Yes it does jbeany.
Aleta- it is funny. I got frustrated for a minute, then laughed it off. I tracked the package, and it looks like UPS has it on route to California, so I'll just hope it makes it.

I had such problems with UPS (not dialysis related, just stuff I'd bought online) that I now refuse to buy from any company that uses them.
