I have a number of broken teeth, and I've also lost some teeth.  The hospital that has put me on their transplant waiting list, told me to get all those teeth fixed before any transplant can be done.

For me, the choice is between dental implants and dentures.  But my dentist had some concern about whether I, as a kidney transplant candidate, can take dental implants safely.  He muttered something about "rejection," which I really didn't understand.  The hospital said they don't expect any problem--but I was wondering what the experience of folks here has been with this.

I would prefer implants, because my grandma and mom had dentures; and from what I could see, dentures suck.

I think that one of the issues with implants for us is that our bone is often compromised to some degree and so the posts may not "take".  Could you get another opinion from another dentist?
