I am going to "hand-feed" my brother with more information from this site.

I wasn't going to, but he is not trying to test ways to be here himself, not making an effort to even ask about ways to be here. So I will whet his appetite.  He wants me to either copy or download  .... and then print stuff up on my printer... and then I can take that to Kinko's to copy into BIG letters.  Then I can mail it to him or drop it by the front desk at his apt. house or give to him.

There is such great stuff here... like the post on "my first time" and so many things....

I am getting a lot from it too... as a person and as a care-taker.  You are a great bunch of folks and this site is wonderful.

I think I'll give him some Headings of Areas .... and then write him some Topic Headings.  I may try to copy and paste.... don't know if that works here.  I PROMISE not to "reveal" anything I should not.

Lotsa' Warm and Peaceful Vibes Goin' out Across the World to ALL of YOU....

Ellen, Sister of Jim - who is the person who will be going into Dialysis in January.

Thanks Ellen sounds like the New Year is bringing some hope to your situation.

All you have to do is copy and paste to a word document and change the font yourself before you print.

I'm happy for you both and I think this site brings hope and inspiration to most who visit here regularly.

Jim,

You are not alone, we care here at IHD. Please read what you can, and learn to advocate for yourself, knowledge is the power to be able to make uniformed decisions, which will result in a much better approach to treatment and outcome.

There is little here that we post that you could not reveal to the world at large.  Or at least to another dialysis patient.  The more I am here the more I realize that everyone on dialysis has similar experiences.  Your brother just needs to feel he is not alone.

Ellen, I agree with Kitkatz, I can't really think of anything on this site that you couldn't show your brother, and you are a wonderful and thoughtful sister to do this for him.  Maybe if you show him a few things he'll want to see the site for himself and you'll be able to work out something so he can see it.

This site has been the best thing that has happened to me since I heard I was going to have to be on dialysis.  Again, to Kitkatz's point, it's so good to know you're not alone.

I hope everything works out for you and your brother!
