ME

« on: May 03, 2009, 05:10:04 PM »

I went  camping this weekend. It was a great trip and we were having a great nights sleep until 5am when we heard the thunder roaring we woke up all the other people on our  campsite just in time to get loaded. Just as we were leaving the weather was really bad hail, 50 mile winds and funnell clouds in the horizon. It was pretty scary. But that is not all. I was following a friend out of the sight when out of the corner of my eye I see this 50 foot tree swaying. Low and behold that tree FELL and missed me by about 10-12 feet it fell in between the 2 of our trucks they got out we didn't and they never realized a tree fell.(if i would have been driving 1-2 mph faster that tree would have had made scap out of me and my truck). I was so scared. so even though we were loaded and ready to go we could not get out of the campsite. We could not find a park ranger nor anyone with a rope to move it. Finally somone went back and drove the sites to find someone with a 4 wheel drive and a chain took a few hours but now i am home safely. Thank you God...

Oh, Tinah! That is the most hair-raising camping story I have heard!  :bow;

I'm so glad you made it home unscathed!

Tinah, I was hoping all that bad weather would be over by the time you went camping!

Sorry to hear about it.  I am sure it was frightening.  I am glad you finally got home and weren't hurt.

Wow!  What a camping trip!  You were suppose to relax and take it easy.  I am so very glad you are ok and didn't get hit by the tree. I can't imagine how scared you were.  Glad you are home!   :cuddle;

You'll remember this trip for a long time.  Glad you are safe.  I didn't realized you'd gone camping.  Was kind of worried about you.

Well I am very happy you made it back! But wow, I bet that was scary.  You poor thing.  Next time don't go camping when it is gonna rain. That is an order! Haha.

Glad your okay sweetie.
