HELLO

.Well, this is my premier posting on this site. I live in Western massachusetts, am a mother of three teeneage boys, and have pkd. i do home hemo with my partner carlos on nx stage after about a year at a unit. Being on the unit left me sick and disorientated the days I had treatment. nx stage is the best! It has improved quality of life 1000 times. I am one year on the transplant list, and this fall I will be going back to school. And at my age, that is no small feat. Well, I guess thats the gist of it I am looking forward to getting to know the website more!

Hi, Josie.
I am my husband's NxStage partner and we are sooooo pleased with it. I'm sure we will have many stories to share!
Where in Western Mass? Our daughter lives in Lenox! We just cart our NxStage machine up there and keep on dialyzing.
You'll love this forum. Post often!

Thanks to all who welcomed me to the site. This is the first time I have posted anything on the web, and I think it's going to be a positive experience. Being at home with my machine kind of isolates me from others with kidney disease. The sun is finally coming out in my neck of the woods, so that always lifts my spirits. Today I am going to try my hand at growing peppers from seeds. i love watching things grow. My boys are on spring vacation, so are basically driving me nuts. In two weeks my step daughter, her husband and two boys are coming to stay with us until they can get back on their feet. They are coming from Jersey and that will mean nine people in my apartment for at least a couple of months. Well, that's about it for now. It took me a couple of days to figure out people had posted me back, so as i get used to navigating the system, I will write back to those of you who have so graciously welcomed me here!!!

Welcome, josie!! I'm a NxStager also - have 2 teenage kids. Welcome!!!! Sounds like your apartment is going to be real 'cozy' for a little while. Hang in there & take advantage of having the place full - let them do all the chores!!
