Last night, Len and I went to see The Beverly Hillbillies play put on at our Grandaughters High School. Our Amanda played Ellie Mae.  :rofl; Her school really does a good job with the Theatre Department. The place was packed and the play was really funny. They put an awful lot of work into putting these things on. The sets alone had to of taken hours to make. Len was a little tired after sitting for 3 hours but he enjoyed it.  :cuddle;

Our Amanda is the one on the right.

I know just how you feel!  My son was in a play last year and I was very proud of him.  :cuddle;

Your Granddaughter is gorgeous, Willie!    You two must be very proud (sore butts and all   :rofl;).   I think High School plays adds extra dialog and such to their plays so that every kid participating has something to say and/or do.  That can make for a long night!   ;D

Oh, willieandwinnie!  How exciting!  I know you and Len are super proud of Amanda!

I dabbled in theatre in high school, and now my sister's oldest son is majoring in theatre management at the University of South Carolina.  Zach has been the stage manager for quite a few big productions at USC and at the Columbia Community Theatre.  In fact, he's working this summer at "The Lost Colony" (Outer Banks, NC) as the stage manager there.  Every time he is the stage manager at a play at USC, Marvin and I go down.  Even though Zach's not an actor, he puts in major hours and effort!  Marvin's not a "theatre" type guy, but he's getting some exposure to "culture" thanks to Zach.
