I feel exactly the same Angie!!! At times I feel so totally dumb!

Well damn!  Angie and I took one of those worthless online IQ tests a few months ago and she ranked close to what I got then and she can't concentrate hardly at all?  Now I really feel stupid.  :(

I used to be smarter at one time .. before you met me :P

:o   What was your IQ BEFORE you met me?

uhh ... I forget ...  :-[ :-\ (just like Bear said ;)  )

 :P Cute.  Nicely done.  :D

Want to hear about one that takes the cake???

Today ... I .. forgot to go to work!

Yes, you hear that right!

After my mom was at my dialysis last night taking pics and then today she was supposed to come over so I was cleaning .. I forgot til 10:45pm tonight!!!!

DAMN I am an idiot!!

I know my memory has been terrible lately but I can't help but beat myself up over it since I have been back to work now for 2 weeks and work on my off-dialysis weekdays!! I can NOT believe I forgot!!!!!!

Sorry about the double post but no one else has been posting here.. :(

Maybe because everyone forgot about this thread?

But don't beet yourself up over it.  What's done is done and there is nothing you can do about it now.  Might I'd suggest that you call your employer tomorrow and try to explain the situation.  Hopefully, since this is the first time, they can forgive it.

Dont worry I forgot the specialists appointment last week which I had been hanging out for. I remembered the night before but for some reason it completely slipped my mind.

I can recognise someone off TV and tell you what else they've been in no problem (pretty proud of it actually) but i couldn't tell you one of the nurses names at the unit and i've been there a year.

If we miss an appointment and don't phone ahead to reschedule, it is marked as "No Show"  :o So that all goes towards your "assessment" of compliance! I have skipped a couple, some I just didn't feel up to walking to the bus stop, and didn't feel like ringing, or I have just completely forgot.

I still can't remember anything. I will know EXACTLY what I am talking about, describe it, know what letter it starts with...and blank. Dialysis does cause memory loss. I didn't think I knew what CRAFT diesase was, until my sick mind figured out the anagram. Yep, got it. :o

What's dialysis?

« Reply #70 on: September 05, 2006, 02:49:08 PM »

Get this,

I went to dialysis last night and took my weight then sat on my chair.  One minute later, I couldn`t remember my weight so I took it again.  A nurse came and chatted to me then went away, guess what? I`d forgotten my weight again!  THIRD time lucky, I remembered it.  Is this a sign of things to come?

Ya I have done that. You are more likely to do that when tired or carrying a lot of fluid which can also make you feel tired and just simply not as "with it"

I had done that once when I was visiting my uncle as his place.  Thankfully, he lived alone at the time or I would have been so embarrassed.  :-[
