I have become an EBay junkie. I have a "N" scale train layout that I started and I have been buying and reselling trains and accessories for a little profit then using the proceeds to try and buy what I want and need. Anyone else get caught up in EBay? ...Boxman

i Buy topspot flea treatment for our cats from ebay but have never sold anything.

What scale is an "N" Scale Boxman?

Good way to pass the time and make a buck or train accesory.

Boxman i have a friend who has made enough money to pay cash for his Harley. He started out buying trinkets and kept buying, selling bigger and bigger items until he was buying motorcycles cheaper than he sold them for. I think it is a neat way to do it but I'm not sure if I have the patience to do it. Keep your rating good and people will trust you more and more as your rating stays high. I sold my gutter machine and trailer for $500.00 over the asking price of $11000.00 I was shocked. Good Luck, maybe I see Vegas in your future this year.

N scale is one smaller then HO the cars are about 3" long and the people are about as high as your fingernail...Boxman
I plan to move it downstairs on a sheet of plywood then I will start the landscaping

I love those trains.
Yes, I have spent many hours watching auctions and bidding, although I have gotten pickier as time goes on.

Looks and brains, as well as trains.  Ebay can be addicting. Don't I know it! I had to stop going there. I want one of everything!

Well Boxman when i was a kid i had a train set on a 4X8 sheet of plywood.  With artificle grass with an oval track.  Got many hours of fun from it.

But YOU HAVE a real train set up.
Very nice indeed.  I like that you have elevation changes and all the little odds and ends.

Cant wait to see it once you have it all done.
Do you do any paintwork on the landscaping or figures?
If so i have the best brushes for detail work.  let me know.

My s/o Ray (the one on dialysis) is hooked on Ebay.  He is a comic book/coin collector.
I am not allowed to touch his coins, as I don't see it as collecting.
(I see new window dressings  :o)
Don't set your bids on auto.  Ray's perma cath got infected and he was
hospitalized.  He forgot about his bidding.  Even one bad rep was hard to repair.
Other then that, he has been enjoying Ebay for a few years now.  When he retires,
he wants to have a comic/coin shop.

:waving; Boxman, I just told Len that I had another reason to love you. Not only are you cute but you have trains. SO DO I. I have 3 sets and 1 of then is a "N Scale" Len wants to run tracks around the wall close to the ceiling for mine. I have too much junk in our family room for a cool layout like you are doing. And yes, I sell and buy on ebay. Have actually made some money.  :cuddle;

Great train setup Mark!

I love EBay, you can get almost anything there - living out in thewilds like I do it's always cheaper than a trip to the shops for a one off item and if you don't like it you can always sell it on!! :thumbup;

That's cool boxman- I always liked n scale because I wanted to have more towns, scenery, and interesting switches. My Dad is  amodel train buff, but he likes O scale because he likes to have trains and cars that are perfect models in the mechanical workings.  He likes exact replica cast couplings, historically accurate boiler plates and stuff like that.

Our basement was filled with trains when I was a girl.  It was my dad's passion.  But, unfortunately, I think he assumed that his kids (all daughters) would not want his trains and he got rid of them at some point without us knowing.  I think they were bigger than those.  Not sure of the scale.  He bought trains for my son when he was small.  The transformer blew out during a thunder storm and at the time we couldn't afford to buy a new one.  I had to put the train away as that is very disappointing to a 5 year old.  I guess with all the options online now, I should check out the trains.  Maybe I can surprise the 18 year old!  Great memories - thanks!

I did for a while, but then it began to annoy me how nasty some of the people were on eBay.  I got out with my score still intact at 100%.  It was fun for a bit, though!  And, yes, it can be very addicting.
