When you've got a planned transplant from a living donor it's a good opportunity to take photos to record the event. I get so envious when I see a photo of the actual kidney during the surgery. We forgot the camera so missed that chance to get one! I was very emotional about Jenna and her donor going into and out of surgery that I had a tough time taking as many photos as I could have. I wish I had taken more. My suggestion is to take LOTS! They may not seem important at the time, but you will be happy you've got them later on.

Admin for IHateDialysis 2008 - 2014, retired.
Jenna is our daughter, bad bladder damaged her kidneys.
Was on in-center hemodialysis 2003-2007.
7 yr transplant lost due to rejection.
She did PD Sept. 2013 - July 2017
