I am both, I think most perple are or we would not be able to function in this society. So many people with so many different back grounds that you do what you have to and learn along the way.

I am not street smart at all. The kids at school can pull something shady in front of me and I will not EVEN know what's going on.  But I do know a whole lot of trivia and how to look stuff up!

I was born old and with too much common sense.   I love learning, reading and researching, but I think common sense gets me farther in life.

school smart -- several degrees and two classes from a master's in education -- but decided the pay was not worth finishing
street smart - growing up with an alcoholic step father  until I was in 9th grade -- and teaching in the ghetto area of Houston for several years-
and dealing with students who have horrible home environments -

I would say I am a little of both.............but even though I graduated high school and am a college graduate, I don't feel I remember a dang thing from all that education!     :rofl;   However, I feel I am a little street smart but only because of my siblings "influence" in the "street smart" environment but I am thankful in a way that they did because like others have said, you need it to survive in today's society.

Diagnosed with ESRD-November 2006
I have had 2 fistuals-neither one worked
I have had 2 grafts the last one finally "took"
I had 3 different catheters from Nov. 06 - Dec. 08
Got on the transplant list - Halloween Day 2008

You can easily judge the character of others by how they treat those who they think can do nothing for them.    I BELIEVE THIS TO BE SOOOOO TRUE!
