I was the 24/7 caregiver for both of my parents till last November when my Dad passed away. We had him on home hospice for the last 7 months of his life. Mom has had many medical problems for years but was staying fairly healthy until after Dad passed. She went into the hospital for the first time just 12 days after he passed away.  As of right now she has been in the hospital for almost 5 weeks straight. I know exactly how you feel.
