It means that without a college education these days of at least 4 yrs you will not stay ahead of the technological advancements.

And even with a college education, flexibility and an openness to lifelong learning and new ideas is a must.  I also took from this that we cannot afford to be even a little complacent about our educational systems because there are countless very bright people all over the world in the so-called developing nations who will be waiting to seize whatever opportunities present themselves.  Technology is making the world smaller and smaller as information technology grows by leaps and bounds.  We can no longer afford to indulge in them versus us types of thinking.

Uldall-Cook catheter inserted May 2008
Haemo-dialysis, self care unit June 2008
(2 1/2 hours X 5 weekly)
Self-cannulated, 15 gauge blunts, buttonholes.
Living donor transplant (sister-in law Kathy) Feb. 2009
First failed kidney transplant removed Apr.  2009
Second trx doing great so far...all lab values in normal ranges
