2 calls in such a short time!
Even though you weren't picked, think of it this way.. the calls mean it will be very soon for you now! How exciting.
Here's hoping the next call comes through.

If they are charging you each time you come in, charge them for mileage and gas!
Hopefully the next call is the one, or do what I did when they called me. I asked if they we're sure, fortunately they said yes.

This standby is a good set up. It usually involves food restriction, but since we are 40 minutes away, we are able to stay home. There actually may be people fuirther up on the list that me, but if they are in Montana, they will not be called for standby, only for primary. This may go on for some time.

Gee how frustrating this must be!! Still it seems like you are close to the top which must be encouraging. Here we don't get called to be standby or anything.. we get called with an offer which is both good and bad... in a way if I got standby like you I'd at least know that there would only be a few folks ahead of me on the list and that if it isn't this time it should hopefully be soon. As it is no calls could mean anything.
Hang in there mate and hoping the next call comes soon and it is yours!
