I really have a lot to be thankful for. So far, I have survived three conditions that took a sibling of mine. At 10 I had an appendectomy. A 14 year old sister of mine died after an appendectomy (in 1951 - I never knew her really). Then a sister died in 1971 after a mastectomy (she was 41). My brother died in 2004 after 10 years on dialysis. I hope to pass his record. I think I am doing really well so far!
