Mikey, I'm so sorry you lost your furbaby. What happened? Was she sick very long? I'm so sorry it is one of the hardest things in life. May her memories comfort you.

Thank you for all of your love and support. Ruth had diabetes for many years and her kidneys stopped working. She stopped eating and drinking.
She was sick for about a week.
I've attached a couple of photos below of Ruth.
again for the support.

Ahhhhhh... what a shame Mike. I know you are in for some sad days. I don't know if cats and
dogs go to heaven, but I sure hope I get to see my little Tammy again. My thoughts are with
you.

Ruth was a very good kitty.
Originally, I adopted her and her sister Naomi about 12 years ago. They had been abused prior to me adopting them. It took months of patience and love to get them to come out of hiding. Eventually, they both became very loving, cuddly cats. Naomi died of fatty liver disease six years ago. Ruth had become almost like a dog in a cats body. She greeted me when I came home from work and wanted to be petted and picked up often. She slept in the bed on top of me or next to me. When I was very sick, she would cuddle me and watch over me. Every time I went to the bathroom, I needed to sit -- so she could walk up and be petted (And told how pretty she was.) When I took a shower she would lie down outside the shower. When I cooked in the kitchen she would follow and keep me company. She was always under foot as my furry best friend. I miss her terribly.

She sounds like she was a real sweetie. It makes me very glad to know you took Ruth and her sister in from an abusive situation and provided them with a loving home.
It is a great loss, and we are all here for you.

It's so tough Mikey.
Tell me something, would you ever consider adopting a successor to Queen Ruth? You'd make a great new Dad, er I mean butler.

Twirl, I am still very sad. I still cry a lot. But I know that Ruth is in a better place now. I loved her very much too.
Things will get better. I am moving closer to my family in a couple of weeks. Once I settle in, I plan on adopting a kitty and becoming his or her loyal servant.

I only just saw this thread. Once again we have to say some difficult goodbyes. I considered Queen Ruth as part of our IHD family and never even thought of the possibility of her not being around. Thanks for sharing her with us, and now sharing her passing and her legacy with us.
You have many cyberhands holding yours today.
