we don't quite get the reason for putting bactroban in each nostril for the first five days of the month.  Also will Ron ever get his taste back. Ever since he has been on peritoneal his taste is minimal, doesn't matter how much seasoning I use.  He is also anemic.

I can't speak to the taste factor, but here goes on the Bactroban question:...It is to prevent, or treat MRSA, which is a very dangerous, and prevalent bacteria.  MRSA can reside in blood, wound, urine, stool, and PD fluid.  It can be deadly. Antibiotics can treat it to some degree, but it will still kind of "hang out"  in the nostrils, won't be touched by oral, and even IV antibiotics.  Sometimes you can be a carrier of MRSA, and pass it to people, without getting it yourself.  Your Dr. is on top of things!   :secret;
