I have been on cellcept for about 5 months now and my stomach has still not sorted its self out yet.
I am on 650mg of cellcept. i take 2 in the morning and 2 at lunch and 2 before bed time.

My question is should i take it with food or on a empty stomach. and will it make a differnce with the upset stomach.

my other meds im on are:

prograf
5mg predinsone
purises (diaretic)
co-micardis (for blood pressure)

Jenna takes Prilosec to avoid stomach upset. Ask your doctor.

I feel for you, draven. I took CellCept for about a month and was miserable on it. Other transplant patients kept telling me to take it with food - yogurt was mentioned as a good choice - but that did not seem to help me.

I requested a switch to Myfortic, which is CellCept with an enteric coating. After a week or so of adjustment, I have had no problems with it, and have been on it for a couple of years. Might that be an option for you? I have never taken Prograf, so cannot speak to how that might be affecting you stomach, and I am off Prednisone.

I hope you find something that works for you. Good luck!

I also take prevacid once a day, with my morning meds and seem to have no trouble.

i did some research on the meds you guys mentioned and i found out that i was on one of them. it has diffrent name here. i stopped taking it because i switched from cyclosporin to prograf and my acid reflux was not so bad anymore and my medical aid wouldnot pay for it or give it to me as a chronic medicine.

the doc did not mention that i might need it for cellcept. so i probably have been giving my stomach hell for the past 2 months.
