Hello everyone!

My name is John. I am 52 years old and I am a single father of two great teenagers! They have both discovered the opposite sex so I think life as I have come to know it is over! I live in Colorado and work in the human services field. Oh, we also have a wayward cat named Buster. I have been lurking for over three months ever since I found out my creatinine was 3.4 in July and the neph told me i had 24 months before I will be starting dialysis, no ifs ands or buts. There's much more to the this story though which is really just beginning and I hope to share some of what I've been through the last three months with all of you in my future posts. The cause of my severe kidney failure is diabetes for 22 years and unfortanately for me not in good control much of that time. Anyway, I look forward to reading your posts and interacting with all of you! Thanks, John

Yes, I was on the not good control list for years, thought I had to work to support myself and family more than take care of myself, so here we sit on this bus now. You have come to a great group of people. Hope you continue posting.

I saw the Colorado river from the 'plane on my way to the reunion in Las Vegas. Does that originate in your state?
