Three weeks ago I had surgery to fix a stenosis in my fistula. Yesterday I went back to the vascular surgeon for a check up. He didn't feel a thrill and was concerned about it. I told him I've had my fistula since '05 and I've never felt a thrill just a pulsation. He had an ultrasound done again to make sure nothing was wrong. So my fistula goes from the bend in my elbow all the way up my arm and into my armpit. Pretty freaking long! ! ! So they checked in my armpit, "lo and behold", another stenosis. He said because of the location of this one it will be a tricky operation and it will take me longer to recover. I can tell u this, I am freaking out. I never had a surgeon tell me that the surgery will be tricky. It's because it's deep in my armpit. The only reassuring thing is that I've been told he is one of the best in Omaha. Which I believe.
My mom actual likes him. After my last surgery he came out and talked to my mom, was very detailed and caring. My mom never likes my docs and for her to like him, definitely tells me something. Anyways the surgery is next Thursday and I hope it's an in and out procedure like the last one. I have to be home Saturday because its my nephews 1st birthday and I'll just die if I miss it. I already feel like dying because I'm missing Vegas.
Well I might be going to chicago next month so that helps me feel a bit better.
