Do DaVita centers sanction (approve of) this site?  When I went to visit and when I took their classes they help telling me how wonderful and easy it will be.. and yet I read on here how hard and scary it is.  Were they giving me hype?  Is is somewhere in the middle?  Anyway, I'll ask the doctors next time I go in.  I'm sure they know about you but I will take your flyer just in case...

I don't know if posting this in a DaVita center would be allowed.  My F.A. at my DaVita, is actually a fan of this website and tells everyone about it.

I think they give you all the "POSITIVE" information they can to keep your spirits uplifted and in the correct frame of mind.  You don't want to go into something like Dialysis all FREAKED out hearing all the horror stories.  They have to be positive.  It is NOT always as bad as it seems!

put these up and handed out at first 2 clinics. tell everyone about this site where we are now. will print main copy, go to print place and have a stack done, put in clinic, hospital, etc, hand out.
we are at a davita clinic. they tell newbies about davita site, info online, but never ask that 80 yr old grandma if she has the internet, a computer or even knows how to use one. i plant to take my little laptop in next time so we can all sit and surf.

You lose people with too many words or reference sites.   I think they get the info they need from the flyer already in place.    Some members must have more time on their hands than we do!     :rofl;

It's not a matter of agreeing or disagreeing with your suggestions, it's a matter of time.
The flyer was created by Epoman in 2005.
Our admin team focuses on the daily forum duties, and have not made a new flyer because it's been working ok.
I read 200 posts a day, approve new members, move threads, ban spammers and answer PM's.
This is all volunteer time, we do not get paid.
I am not able to do any redesign at this time.
Anyone want to volunteer?

Okay, the floor is open - thoughts, comments, suggestions on my initial design?

I know Epo's original flyer was heavily focused on his mission to start a website that wasn't censored by the big D companies, as most support sites were at the time.  It was his frustration at not being able to openly discuss his complaints about the companies, the staff, the standard of care, and the plain misery that D can be that gave him the inspiration to start IHD.

I shifted focus for this one, though, since with 7000+ members now contributing to an uncensored forum, he's reached that goal and then some!  I focused more on trying to advertise the benefits of joining.  This may just be my retail background coming out, though, so feel free to suggest changes.

I printed out one of the flyers and gave it to the social worker at my dialysis center.  I intended for her to hang it up somewhere but she said she was going to make copies of it and give it to some of the patients.  I don't know who she was going to give it to because most of the people at my clinic are really elderly and don't even seem like they're aware of where they are.

Please help me out here...The two versions of the flyer I see are in English.   What language do you see them in?

Also, why does the reference to G-d need to be removed?  It is part of a quote from an IHD member who has been helped by this web site, not an official endorsement by those who run IHD.
