Considering taking a vacation there and was curious what the facilities might be like.

Sara,
Check out the reviews on the 'Global Dialysis' web site. I seem to remember someone posting about dialyzing in Mexico on there. Hope you can do it and then post the review here too.

What about the Caribbean islands? There is a St. Lucia Dialysis that looks really good. The manager even posted here once.

Be very careful about Mexico. That country's corruption extends to the health care industry as well. I can remember several high profile cases involving people who had to be hospitalized there being held essentially for ransom by the hospitals. They wouldn't be released until their out of country relatives came up with some huge amount that had to be paid first. I know this sounds strange but it is true. Avoid Mexico.

I would be afraid, just because of all the stories I heard about the water there. "Nice place, but DONT drink the water" ::)

I have never been to Mexico but if u would like to travel then go to either Ibiza or Fuerteventura they dialysis centers I went to were very good and very nice people and afterwards I felt great very nice air and the temps were perfect.
Fuerteventura if u want to relax and enjoy the ocean!
Ibiza if u wanna party and meet some strange crazy people!
I don't know if those are the English words for those two inslands so sry^^

I have researched this topic for a trip to Cancun I never took. However, I did find information on hemodialysis.
