Hi just thought I would update you on John. He went for his normal renal check up last month (I could not go with him this time) and they told John his one (shot) kidney is doing so well they don't think he will have to have dialysis at all now. They also told him to cancel the appointment with the urologist "why I don't know," but he did cancel it. His appointment with the renal clinic has been changed to every 4 months now unless he feels unwell. I think I was spoiling him too much, so now I have cut back on all the things I did for him and making him do them himself and he is so much better. They say you have to be crawl to be kind. The only thing he can't do now is change his stoma because of the big hernia on it. I wish they could operate on that for him and he would be well on the mend.
Take care everyone out there Yvonne

Thanks every one out there, you have all helped me to get through this with John, there were many times when I was so worried about him and got annoyed about certain things, that I was able to vent my feelings on this site. So many of your replies and reading about what many of you are having to go through have helped me so much, I can't tell how grateful I am for this site. :flower;

Hi every one thanks for the replies, but as you can see by my new post John has had a set back, feels very unwell but is refusing to go into hospital, what shall I do with him ?? :Kit n Stik;

If he refuses to go to hospital at least get him in to see the neph and have some blood taken. It could be things have gone downhill or it could actually be something else.. (or it may be something like anemia causing tiredness & nausea) definitely better to get it checked out ASAP rather than just putting up with it - specially if it IS kidney related.. so if he won't go to hospital try to get him to see the neph ASAP and get some checks made and blood pulled.

Hi John had his blood taken this morning and we have to wait until Wednesday for the results. He is just sleeping most of the time
