Hi all,
I am a 22 yr old college student. I am a junior a Vanderbilt University. I had my first transplant(deceased donor) in 2000. The kidney has started to fail me. i am really hurt, angry, frustrated and scared. I didnt want this at this point in my life. The first time i did dialysis(hemo), i did it for 8 months and i was in middle school. I did well with it both physically and mentally. Now it is harder because im older and im a college student. I will say when the doctor told me that i needed dialysis, i wanted to start the next day. I wanted to get on with it. I am determine not to let dialysis ruin my life. Fortunately, i am bless to have two people who want to donate-my mom and cousin. I hope to gain valuable insight from you guys
thanks

Dialysis cannot ruin your life unless you allow it to. I have been at this for ten years now. Welcome and good luck.
