How long after you go on disability before you qualify for Medicare?  How does that work if you have employer insurance as well?

If you have private insurance it's 33 months.

In my case it was six months.  I only used my employers insurance for one month.  I lived off of savings with a little help from my church and I am still paying on some of the medical bills 18 months later.

Once Dustin got Medicare part A & B it wasn't long before he received his card.

I had to be on dialysis for 18 months and then it started
talk to your social worker
mine drove me :urcrazy;

So how bankrupt do you get  before Medicare kicks in?  What are the copays for dialysis?
