I just made my annual trip to the Indiana state fair, and it was so much better than last year, where I collapsed from heat exhaustion after only being there for an hour. I really enjoyed myself, but I had to do something I thought I'd never have to do. I have been having a lot of trouble with pain in my feet and lower legs, which my doctor can't find the cause of, so I had to break down and rent an electric mobility scooter (I guess I have to always be on some kind of "scooter"). Once I got past the whole "feeling like a little old man" feeling, I realized I could actually enjoy the fair a little more without having to worry about being in a lot of pain. My parents and brother who were with me some of the time started using me as their "mule" and putting their stuff in my little basket. I didn't mind, though. I did accidentally hit my mom when she had to stop suddenly, but other than that, things went ok. I was a little concerned that I would have trouble getting around on grass and dirt, which I have to do in order to do my favourite part of the fair: seeing the threshing and sawing demonstrations using the old steam engines, and talking to the people who run them. It wasn't a problem though, I just bumped and thumped my way to my spot right up behind one of the steam engines, and I was able to see everything and talk to the two operators. Unlike last year, the weather for this year's fair has been perfect. This may be my last Indiana state fair for a while, since I'm going to be moving after the first of the year, and I may not be able to make it back to Indianapolis to go to the fair. So, I'm glad I had a good time this year.

I love state fairs, but haven't been to one in a long time. Glad to hear you had fun.

Glad to hear you had a good time, Adam.
I rented one of those last year when we took my son to Disney for a couple days, and it saved the trip. I was able to stay at the parks all day rather than just an hour or two, and really enjoy the time I was there. If anyone wants to do an all-day event like this, I highly reccommend it!

I haven't been to the fair in ages, maybe I could still make one this year yet. Glad you had a good time this year Adam.
