Well that sucks! Sorry to hear that Rick. That is a real blow. I had no clue about Kidney Failure until I ended up in ER also. Stick with this site and learn about the whole process from just starting to living well with a transplant or if not eligible living as well as you can on dialysis.
You can come here to vent also. Glad you found us.

Hey Rick,
Welcome :waving;. This is a great site. The people here are very knowledgeable and very willing to help. I am in a similar situation. I was told in January that my kidneys were failing and I started dialysis in June (in center hemo). I found this site about a month ago and I log on everyday to see what is going on.

Welcome Rick, good to have you aboard.

Hi Rick!
That must have been a real shock! It will take some time to adjust, it must have been a real whirlwind of two months! A similar thing happened to me when I was nineteen, I had a routine blood test and the next thing I knew my GP was standing on my doorstep with his car engine running saying "pack an overnight bag, we're taking you to hospital NOW!!" :Kit n Stik;
Get yourself on the transplant list ASAP and stay well!
Welcome!! I'm also a newbie but I've found so many good people on here already and so much great advice, stay with us and update as often as poss!
