Title: Brett Favre
Post by: boxman55 on August 04, 2008, 04:45:54 AM
Favre rejoins the Packers as the NFL's all-time career leader in touchdown passes, completions, attempts, yards and victories as a starting quarterback. He is the NFL's only three-time Most Valuable Player award winner, a nine-time Pro Bowl selection and the holder of the NFL record for most consecutive games started by a quarterback, 275 including playoffs...Boxman

I can understand the packers point of view where they planned their offense set for a new QB, but it should't be a big deal to revert back to when they had him.

Hey, what can you expect from a man who pronounces his name F A R V when it should be pronounced FAV-RAY (French pronunciation).

Actually in French, Favre is pronounced, Favr.  It would be FAV-RAY only if it had an acute accent on the final e.  Like café.  No idea where the FARV pronunciation comes from but my guess is that it's just the anglicised version since the gargly french r is tricky for many english speakers.

I enjoy watching Brett play and admire the man.
He is a classy man.  So I'd like to see him play some more.
Packers would be great but if not them anywhere.
They said today he left Packers training camp so it must not have worked out.
It is too bad he didn't give himself a little more time to decide what to do after the season ended.

I just have to add  ------ my son is an Aggie
and Coach Sherman is there and he likes our Bubba
 :flower;
what ever makes the Packers happy    (I like the color of their uniforms)
as long as it has nothing to do with Dallas Cowboys

I was rooting for Brett to go to the Super Bowl last year, but now I believe he's tarnishing his legacy.  He should have known the Packers were moving on without him and he waited until the last month to make this move.

I'm hoping this can be taken care of soon because I don't want one single issue to overshadow another fantastic NFL season.

P.S...If my Steelers can deal with their offensive line issue, I believe this could be the Steelers year with all the new weapons they have on offense.

I was a bit tired of the hype too, but you have to admit it's better than the criminal charges that dominate the sports news.

Twirl, I also root for a team that has nice uniforms. For example. I love the steelers in black bottoms and the light color top. It is slimming and makes the upper body look so much broader. As a mother who had a football player, white is so hard to keep clean.  :rofl;

 :yahoo; GO STEELERS!
