Valient Himself of the rock band Valient Thorr (in cooperation w/ music magazine Alternative Press)
has posted his kidney donation video diary on the band's website valientthorr.com.

Valient Himself donated a kidney to his ailing father this past spring, May 15, 2008.
He also wrote an Alternative Press OP-ED Speak Out - August issue #241 (where musicians have the opportunity to get burning issues they want to get off their chest).
In his article Valient Himself discusses his decision to become a kidney donor to his ailing father, his decision to take public a private family matter (working with The National Kidney Foundation as a spokesperson, and his message to the public regarding the humanitarian aspect of organ donation.
