Fresenius Medical Recommended by Cramer on U.S. Medicare Bill

By Joseph Galante

June 30 (Bloomberg) -- Fresenius Medical Care AG, the world's largest provider of kidney dialysis, was recommended by CNBC ``Mad Money'' host Jim Cramer, who said it will benefit if the U.S. Congress passes a Medicare Bill.

Cramer, a market commentator and former hedge fund manager, said dialysis providers would receive higher rates under the proposed legislation.

``If this measure passes, these companies are now going to be able to eat at the same federal trough as other Medicare providers have and grow fat with earnings,'' Cramer said.

The Bad Homburg, Germany-based company's American Depositary Receipts, each of which represent one ordinary share, rose 56 cents, or 1 percent, to $55.45 in trading after the official close of the New York Stock Exchange following Cramer's comments.
