I am just having a rough time, as my whole family is. My grandma passed this passed Thursday, and my mom is not taking it well. She is also on chemo-therapy which is REALLY messing with her emotions, etc. I just feel like we all live in a bad movie. I don't know how we all survive sometimes, you know? My mom tolld us tonight that this chemo she cannot do anymore so my mom and dad are going to the doctors to discuss alternatives. I just cannot bare to lose her, not now, I AM NOT READY OR WILLING TO LET HER GO! I just wish that something GOOD would happen for us, that's all. On top of that....... I WANT MY KIDNEY NOW DAMMIT!!!! :rant;

My sympathies go out to you, Karen. Many of us have been through what you are going through and it isn't very easy. I lost my mother to cancer at an early age and it's a terrible thing to endure. I think it's good that you are venting here to all your friends. Hopefully we can provide the help and support you need. Remember "Life isn't always fair but it's still good".

I know how your Mom feels ,and you worrying about your Mom,my Mother is currently stage 4 (end stage) with COPD-slowly losing my Mom is the hardest, most horrible thing I've ever had to endure. My Mom is my bestest friend. I hope your Mom finds an good alternative to chemo.

:grouphug; Sorry your family is going through such a tough time right now Karen. I lost my Mum when she was only 46 and it's hard no matter how old they are when you lose them anyway. I really hope that things turn in a better direction and I also want you to get that kidney NOW.

I am sorry to hear that you are having to deal with so many difficult issues, especially at your age. I hope that you and your family will find something - prayer, nature, music, each other - that will be a source of comfort during these trying times. :grouphug;

So sorry things aren't going well for your family right now.
I can understand your Mom and the chemo issue. I had chemo for 5 1/2 months to treat Goodpasture's Disease and it was very hard on me.
It builds up in the body and by the end of the treatment cycle (for me 6 mths), I finally had to say I couldn't take it anymore and cut the treatment
short. Luckily for me, it was enough. I hope this turns out to be true for your mother too. I'm sure she's doing her best with what she has to deal with.
All you can do is support her, in whatever it is she decides. Hang in there and be strong.

Saying some prayers for you! :-\
