Title: e-bay s*cks
Post by: jonn r on June 25, 2008, 06:43:48 PM
alright everyone....please read..... I am in a situation here.....

EBAY SUCKS!!!!

I have tried numerous times to list what i have and it keeps getting pulled for no apparent reason (trust me I have complied with all the rules), besides that, i have decided to turn to you friends.....and your friends, and their friends.....here's the deal...........

I had planned a trip to Hawaii (those of you i was planning on going with know who you are), unfortunately due to unexpected medical circumstances, traveling is not conducive while on a transplant waiting list (for those of you scratching your heads....long story, but I AM fine)

SO here I am with $1555.00 worth of airline tickets from Continental......

ANYONE CAN USE THEM!!!

flights have to be booked by Aug. 28th of this year......and can be booked up to a year in advance.....

They can be used for domestic OR international flights....

i am trying to sell these......

i am not asking anyone to go broke, but think of it as a flight (or flights) for you (and friends) to go on and save a couple bucks for yourself!

PLEASE......I'm sorry to post this, for I am not asking for sympathy or anything like that, I just had to tell the story behind it......

If YOU or ANYONE you may know that could utilize......please let me know!!!

I can provide more information if anyone wants it.......so email or call if you have my number!

Thanks for listening!!!

Just curious, but what did eBay say when you asked them why it won't post?

You recently listed the following auction-style listing:

130222419749 - Continental Airlines Vouchers worth $1,555.80

The auction-style listing was removed because it violated the eBay Travel policy. We notified members who placed bids on the item that the listing has been canceled.

The sale of travel-related items and services is heavily regulated by U.S. law. For this reason, eBay has established several guidelines regarding travel-related listings. In addition, only sellers who meet certain requirements can list these items and services on eBay. The sale of unused air or sea travel vouchers or gift certificates is permitted as long as:

- The seller is *not* in the business of selling travel services -- for example, a travel agent.
- The seller delivers the listed item only and provides no other travel services.
- The seller lists only one of these items per month.
- The item isn't a travel club membership or "choice" travel certificate.

***Note***
Many airline tickets, vouchers, and frequent flier miles are not transferable. We encourage sellers to review these types of travel-related items before listing them. This ensures that they can be legally transferred to someone else and that the issuer will accept them.

You might want to try Craigslist:

Seems ebay is relying to muh on computers rather than actual people reading it because their reply is a contradiction of what you are trying to do. Idiots!

I would try craigslist as suggested.

I think like anything they got to large. They are unable to keep up with everything.
