Title: A Silly Though
Post by: meadowlandsnj on June 03, 2008, 12:55:49 PM
You'd think with all the pills, all the meds out there they'd have a pill to control thirst.  Right now I am so thirsty.......do diet pills control thirst also?  I remember back in the 70's I took those yellow and black diet pills all my friends were taking in HS and we didn't eat for hours and hours and were wired............not good for you I know now.  But I don't remember if they control thirst.  Is there such a pill?????  ANyone know???

if there is a pill, sign me up
I took diet pills to stay awake all night and study
I do not remember thirst being a problem but of course, I used to drink a lot of water because I liked it
those were the days
I think being thirsty is worse than being hungry
Popsicles leave me thirsty
once I read about a water diet, you drink tons of water, wow , I'd love to be able to go on that diet

I prefer popsicles but I'm also not diabetic and I need the calories.

I know you know this but.... cut out the salt.  I know you eat it.  Chips, bacon, salad dressing, ketchup........  Those are my down falls and then I pay with thrist.

Ice chips usually help curb the thirst.            8)

I have lots of trouble controlling thirst and try to keep gum on hand.  It seems to help and so does anything that is sour.  I guess this stimulates the saliva glands but sometimes I think I am so dry there is none to make.
