One of the pizza chains in 4 different cities in Ohio
offered large pizzas with cheese and 1 topping for 23c.
It hd to do with James LeBron. Anyway lines were 2 blocks long and
people waited 4 hrs to get pizzas.
they had to call the police in to help close down the stores.
They said they had ingredients at all the stores for 900 pizzas. :urcrazy;
What a deal!

Crazy! I would wonder about the quality of a 23 cent pizza . . .
-
four hour wait for a pizza is nuts, did they delv?....Boxman
-
4 hour wait in a line? Are you kidding me?? You can make a homemade one for less than $5.00.
-
what was the reason for this? the only way i would wait that long in a line is if it were for charity. chippolte in denver did a free burrito if you brought a donation for the food bank of the rockies and there were line out the door and down the street. but the longest i waited was 20 minuets.

It all started when Cleveland and Washinton played in the first round of the NBA playoffs. A D.C. area Popa Johns gave away tee shirts with Lebron James' number (23) and the word "crybaby" on them. This didn't go over too well with Cleveland fans so Popa Johns offered the 23 cent pizza deal as compensation.

In the long run that hit they took for 23c will pay off. They got free advertising and people will remember them next time they get pizza.
