Hello all. I am a home dialysis nurse in indiana. I have been working in the dialysis field for > 7years, started as a technician in hemodialysis. I was referred to this site from a patient and I LOVE it! May I just say that I wish you were all my patients! It is a breath of fresh air to see people who want to be informed and care for themselves! I also am so happy to see so much support and encouragement for each other. Dialysis patients really need that. I will be telling patients about this site from now on!!!

We love you already Tabitharl, Welcome to ihatedialysis.com,
Thank you for taking the time to visit and join with us in supporting those with ESRD. Your job is not an easy one and we appreciate your dedication in what you do.
You will find that all topics discussed may have positive and negative reactions or responses but that is the beauty of IHD. A sight for anyone affected with kidney disease to be able to find support and answers to their questions, rant if they need to, laugh , cry or whatever. We have forged a family atmosphere and have scheduled two annual get togethers this year, one in Chicago and one in Vegas. Hopefully you could make one of these meetings. Visit us often and post as often as you want.

We are so glad you have joined us. This is the best site for anyone dealing with kidney disease--patients, nurses, doctors, family. Personally, this site has helped me go from "OMG, I am dying to I am going to live large". I love my nurses. They listen and really are a great bridge between me and the neph. We are really pleased that you are recommending this incredible site to patients. :2thumbsup; Looking forward to hearing more from you. :welcomesign;

I work with Fresenius in central indiana. We care for people from all over northern indiana as well as northwest ohio. And FYI I recommended this site to a pre-dialysis patient today. She said she really wanted to talk to another CAPD patient. I told her I knew where to find many! I followed up with her later in the day and she said this site was very helpful.

Welcome to our community! I am really so pleased to have you join us. I just love the spirit that comes through your posting. Your patients are indeed fortunate to have you as their nurse. I hope to hear lots from you. Please don't let the frankness of this site in anyway turn you off. The founder intended this to be a place where people can be real and express themselves. We have a section where people can complain about their nurses, etc., but we also have a section where nurses are free to complain about their patients! But above all, this site has become a real family, :grouphug; caring, sharing and supporting all the way. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Welcome to the site. You are a strong person to work those 12 hour shifts on a dialysis unit. As you know there is a thread for dialysis workers on the boards.
