Title: I bought a treadmil today!
Post by: kellyt on April 17, 2008, 12:05:24 PM
Yea!  :yahoo;  I'm going to send my 30-day notice to the gym and start walking at home!  I really like to use the treadmil, but I can never get the energy to to to the gym.  I always find something else to do (usually nothing).  It will be delivered on Saturday between noon and 2 p.m. and I can't wait to start walking while I watch my horrible daytime TV!  At the gym I'm forced to watch CNN and ESPN all the freakin' time.  CNN does NOT make the time fly for me.  When I go, which it not often, I only make it about 30 minutes before I'm bored and talk myself into leaving.  Now I'm hoping to walk for 1 hr each day.  Heck, I can even break the time into two 30 minutes sessions!   :clap;

I hope it doesn't become a new place to hang my clean laundry....  :-\

my tread mill makes the most convenient clothes hanger
 I can arrange the colors and have a lovely piece of art work
my exercise bike makes a wonderful place to store miscellaneous objects as they gather there
our swimming pool was an excellent place for my son when he "baptized" our pets ( years ago)

And even better news.... my neph is going to write either a letter or a script stating that it is important for me to have this treadmil in order to lose weight for my health, cholesterol, future transplant, etc., etc. and I'll get all of my Sales Tax refunded!    :yahoo;   That's $117.00!!

Good for you Kelly!

I think I will do the Pasta Diet along with the Sluff workout plan.

Sluff, I maybe short on time can I do 60 seconds 60 times a day? Do you have a DVD I can follow. It can collect dust with Billy Blanks and Tae-Bo. I don't want Billy to be lonely.

Well, it arrived this afternoon and as soon as I got home I put on my shorts and hopped on.    :yahoo;    My first walk was only 15 minutes and I went .70 mils and burned 59 cal..  After dinner I got on for my 2nd walk and that time I went 1.5 mils and that was 32 min. and 25 sec.  It's great being in my livingroom and watching what I want to watch.  Plus my doggies and my husband are there too!  My plan is to walk 3 miles a day, 5 days a week in two 32 min. sessions (a.m. and p.m.).   yippee!
