My face looks decidedly 'yellow' today ..anyone else ?

I'm a bit red. It was a beautiful, sunny weekend.

A 'game' played by cruel medical students is to try to guess which patients waiting in a clinic have renal disease on the basis of their distinctive skin color, which has been described as varying between tan and muddy green. I find it is much worse in patients who have had a failed transplant and returned to dialysis, although this may just indirectly measure the patients who have had renal disease longer. I used to be perfectly white, even too pale, but recently one of my friends commented that it wasn't like me to be visiting a tanning studio -- but of course I hadn't!

Sun tan.

people tell me I look healthy I guess it is because of the somewhat tan look I have...Boxman

tan
it's that dialysis after glow :shy;
-
GREEN with envy I just wish I had a tan :2thumbsup;
-
Tan? What in the he** is tan? I'm white year round!
-
well the vitamin D I was on gave me a tanned glow.
-
I always have a tan ruddy looking face. I think it reflects my kidney disease. Sometimes my lips are even blue.

Before I had my first transplant I was yellowish at times and grey at times. Now that I'm facing dialysis again maybe I'll be green this time around. Wow, always something to look forward to. At the moment I'm quite white and washed out looking but I cover it with makeup. Faking it as long as I can.

maybe I'll be green this time around ( don't know how to get a partial quote)
you will be pretty no matter what color you turn

Just hit the Quote button, then delete the words that you don't want from between the first and last lines of code. Don't delete those 2 lines tho, or you'll mess it up! Sorry, I tried giving you an example, but I ended up with those purple boxes when I posted it!

:thx; :thx; :thx; Not everyone can appreciate the charms of being green (or swollen or whatever). Thank goodness we have each other.

another reason to love dialysis
we turn tan without paying for a tanning booth or baking in the sun
look at the tanning money we are saving
we are the lucky ones
like being on a vacation ::)

That's funny. Just yesterday my sister-in-law took me to the dialyskis clinic
for my monthly appt. and after we left she said did you notice the lady I was talking to had
the oddest color of skin. I said no I didn't notice who she was talking to, was she a patient?
She said yes.

Not long ago, I told Beth that I just felt like I looked yellow. I thought maybe I just needed to get some sun, but I guess this is just another side effect. When I look at recent pictures vs. 2 years ago, I can tell my skin tone has changed. So many things they don't tell you about!
-
I fall into the yellow category. I wish I had the dialysis after glow.
-
I'm Maybelline Fair, with a sheer bronze blush!
Seriously, I'm mostly just pale. I don't tan well. I was a bit yellowy before I started dialysis, but that's cleared up now that I'm on home hemo.
