Title: Last minute trip to Idaho last weekend!
Post by: Krisna on March 28, 2008, 12:27:21 AM
My sister called me last Thursday and asked when me and John were doing for the weekend.  After I told her nothing and asked why she said that our mom was getting evicted.  Then Kelli went on to say that she and her husband were going to Idaho to move our mom over here and would we go with to help.  So, we all left early Saturday morning and drove over there.  Rented a U-haul and luckily my mom had most everything packed.  We left Idaho on Sunday afternoon, the guys in the U-haul and me, Kelli and our mom in the car.

Other than the people who kept getting in the way at my mom's, especially the chick with then video camera which I wanted to shove down her throat, everything went well!  I found out on Sunday that the one with the camera and her daughter had only known my mom for a few weeks which made me wonder why they were making such a big deal abt her leaving...  But then I realized they were living with her...  So, glad she's away from all the leeches over there!  My mom has memory problems which I hope will get better since she's outta that trailer.  She had toxic mold growing there!

So, I have a few pics I wanna share but I am having trouble shrinking them.  I'll keep working on it though.  Also can someone tell me if it is okay to post a link to photobucket here.  I have them on photobucket and also on my myspace but I keep myspace private.  I am just curious 'cause it would be easier for me to post the photobucket link.

Some idiot lost his U-haul trailer on the Snoqualmie pass and caused all but one lane to be closed down!  Our first clue that something was wrong was the variable speed limit sign set at 35mph.  Then all the brake lights and the U-haul blankets and furniture splinters on the side of the road.  The a little ways up there were blankets and furniture splinters all across the interstate!  And finally traffic came to a dead stop and we see the little trailer on one side of the road facing the wrong way and the SUV on the other side.  Snow plows had all but one lane blocked and the SUV driver did not look happy!  He didn't hook up the safety chain on the trailer!  Idiot!  It was snowing up on the pass and so that's why the plows were out!  The cops hadn't gotten to the scene yet so it had just happened!  We knew when we saw the U-haul blankets it was from ours 'cause our guys were right in front of us.  Kelli's husband called us before we saw the trailer and SUV to tell us to get over and why.

So, anyway I have some pics from my little trip.  Didn't get any of the trailer 'cause I wasn't thinking abt it at the time!  lol  But I got pics of the snow up there!   :rofl;

Hello Krisna, sounds like you had some good bonding time with the family. As for the pictures, Either Karol or me can shrink them, I will be out of town until Sunday night so hopefully Karol can do it or I will Sunday. Glad you had a good trip.

I would love to see the photos. Please don't use the photobucket links but I can tell you how to resize your photos on photobucket.

Click on "EDIT" right above the thumbnail photo - see below.

After resizing you can "right click" the photo and save it on your desktop, ready to import to IHD.

I know it takes time, so if anyone has a quicker way to suggest. I'd love to hear it!

Thanks!  I don't mind taking the time to do it but I haven't been able to do it right.  So, I will try resizing them with photobucket.  I know not all forums like photobucket links so that is why I asked first.  I aim to please!  lol

Okay, I hope I did this right...lol

So, the first one was taken in front of our U-haul right before we left Post Falls, Idaho.  My brother-in-law, Russell (Kelli's husband); me; my sister, Kelli; my mom; my sister, Karla and my brother-in-law, Chris (Karla's husband).  Then the variable speed limit sign set at 35mph.  That was our first clue something was seriously wrong ahead.  Then we came across some U-haul blankets and furniture splinters along the side of Interstate 90.  Then a little ways up people started trying to get over and we see more blankets and furniture.  Then Kelli's husband called us and we all said out loud, "The see something we can't see yet!"  And we were right!  Then traffic comes to a complete stop 'cause they had all but one lane closed.  There were several snow plows blocking the lanes.  We saw the U-haul trailer on the side of the interstate facing the wrong way and the SUV on the opposite side!  He was in a heap of trouble.  He didn't hook up the safety chain that would've kept the trailer from coming completely loose!

Yay!  They actually uploaded!  I couldn't even get it to do that the other night!   :rofl;

Oh and btw, Karla and her husband, Chris, live in Post Falls, ID which is why Karla looks so sad in the pic.  She didn't want our mom to move but she also didn't help her find a new place to live.  We all knew that our mom was gonna get evicted 'cause her trailer park was sold to a corporate developer.  My mom had money saved to move but she had to stop paying her space rent to save it.  Then Karla met some tweaker in OR and decided she needed to bring him to ID so she talked our mom into giving her the $1500 she had saved and never payed her back.  Karla is the youngest and she is a drug addict and alcoholic.  She and her husband split up for a while and she was dating other guys during that time!  Now they're back together.  She needs to grow up now.  I think the only way she'll do that is if she doesn't have our mom to sponge off!
