Over here in the UK it as just turned Midnight. I am sure that in some backwood country that is an Holiday >:D

Well, right now, it is still July 3 over here.   My parents would have been celebrating 80 years of marriage if they were still alive!  My dad died just months before the 70th anniversary.  They got married at 18 and 19.

A belated shout out to the Canadians!

Let's see why are we celebrating it???  Oh, yeah, we told the King to "shove it."  Then we proceeded to kill the Indians and take over their land!  I'm not really an Indian sympathiser, but it is true.
