I'm Marlon. I have PKD and have been on HD almost two years. I think I get depressed more than I should. But I guess its goes with the situation.

Sorry you get so depressed at times, but now that you are here, we will try to help you. Maybe with more people to stay connected to will help make you feel not so alone. Hope to hear more about you, whenever you feel more comfortable. Read and post all you want, and ask questions when you need to.

Hi Marlon, welcome from  :ukflag;.  Come here whenever you feel down, these guys will listen without judging and you could soon find yourself smiling again, cos we have fun too  :2thumbsup;

Welcome to our community!  So glad you found us!  This is just the place to be when you are faced with this renal challenge! I can assure you that joining this website will be a definite means of helping you to cope.  There is a great deal of caring and sharing here.  In fact, we have become a genuine family.  So read a lot and post a lot.  I am looking forward to hearing from you and hearing how you are doing these days.  :grouphug;

did not know until I was 20
and then was told you may or may not have trouble with it
thought it was no big deal

Welcome to the IHD.com boards.  I think anyone on dialysis experiences depression from time to time.  Part of me says to keep going and it will clear, other parts want to wallow in it and get down into it and have a dperession. It also may depend on the time of year and the weather.   I hope this year finds you on an upward swing.

Hi Marlon, depression is the pit of the pits.  Don't hesitate to get professional help if you feel the need.  There
are many great meds for depression now.   In the meantime come here and we will cheer you up and get you dancing
