From the NKF of Indiana --"Billy-the-Kidney" - We need energetic, fun-loving volunteers to wear our mascot, "Billy the Kidney". Billy makes appearances at various events to raise awareness about kidney disease prevention and organ donation. Events may include health fairs, community activities, schools, malls and dialysis units. Billy does not speak, but waves, dances, and interacts with onlookers.
Volunteers must read and sign a usage policy and liability waiver. Wearers must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18 years old, a parent or guardian must sign the usage policy/liability waiver.
After looking at those people will think kidneys look like hot dogs.
The last one looks more like a marital aid than a kidney :secret;
The liver mascots seem friendlier than the kidney mascots. :P

I still wouldn't like to meet one up a dark alley :rofl; :rofl;
And they can't be mistaken for other things quite as easily...
This is the funniest thread I have seen in a long time...why not a "normal" cowboy with kidney shaped holsters? ;) Or, they can borrow my Halloween costume from last year and dress up like the boy band from the 80's - The New Kidney on the Block!! 8) :rofl;
EDITED: Re-sized Picture - Sluff/Admin
I love it, Jill!! Can I borrow that idea this year?? (I know some people in my office who might actually "partake").
Totally LMAO!
When I have a lull in my schedule, I'll have to hop on Photoshop and do a design for "Fisty the Fistula"....um, no! hehehe
I think I had nightmares last night due to looking at some of these mascots! :o
"We set a huge syphilis sore loose on the streets of L.A"
"Phil kicks off the Campaign. We set a huge syphilis sore loose on the streets of L.A." They send out their mascot character to gay pride parades and stuff.
The guy behind the suit was at my college and asked if I wanted to be in the suit. I said nope, not a chance, better you than me. Which we then talked about if I could be an organ donor, but I get two diferent answers. We have a transplant seminar in May put on by NKF of IL where each area hospital has a booth of their program, pharm. companies, NKF, Baxter, Medicare, and a few others have displays and then there are different break out sessions to hear different speakers on various topics. Not sure if he will be there this year though.
That giant liver you saw earlier actually has his own myspace page - no - really? Yes...
If I was good at photoshop, I'd put your face in that picture okarol ;D :rofl; I will have to ask Alohabeth :shy;
LOOK OUT! BEHIND YOU!!
Lol oh it's just "Dottie" again!
Here is Billy the Kidney "taking a leak" (in case you can't tell, the vegetable the girl is handing Billy the Kidney is a leek. Yeah, I know, that's one bad joke.)

I have no idea what this is...
It looks like an IHD t-shirt to me.
The staff and students at Holland College in Canada received a request to build a kidney for the Kidney Foundation, with the idea of creating a mascot to raise awareness for the foundation.
It took about a week to construct the mascot, and then a little more time was spent fine-tuning it to make sure his wiper motor-powered arm was up to the task of waving for prolonged periods of time.
He debuted (with the lobster claw he’s currently sporting) at the Summerside Lobster Carnival parade earlier this month.
iron man?!?Yeah, I do not get it either. I thought they were using Morgan D'Organ as the mascot.

For college students I guess cracking open an anatomy book wasn't on the list of things to do. :rofl; Well the color is what comes out, not what a kidney looks like in color or that's one messed up kidney :rofl;
Driving without a seatbelt (or a roof!) obviously distracted - eyes not on the road. Again, I say, are mascots allowed to drive?
