OK members, I have finally figured out to add words to the SPELL CHECK dictionary, Let's compile a list of words we always use and I will add them to the dictionary. The more words we add the to list the better the spell check will work for all of us.
By the way the first word I added to the SPELL CHECK dictionary was "Epoman" ;D
So start giving me words. Come on guys this is a team effort. 8)

NO! Let me get this straight you want me to add incorrect formated words to the dictionary? Just think about it for a second. ::) I mean why even offer a spell check then?
- Epoman
-
Here is a list of meds we use at my clinic. I already checked and it doesn't recognize any of these, I deleted the ones it did. This should help with some of the med problems. You should also add - neph, and nephro.

grey
I will add some more as I think of them
-
British spelling? Don't kid yourself...we all know that those words are spelt using CANADIAN spelling...Who ever heard of British spelling?! haha! ;D
-
I was going to ask you if that is Celine Dion that I see on your canadian coins, but that is too low a blow.
Let's just call it Commonwealth spelling, okay?
-
The reason why I added "Im" and "dont" is because I usually dont use ' and I often click on the wrong word in the spell check and dont realise until a week later when I see my post. I didnt think it was a big deal.

Yeah I know. >:( I've noticed that.

Yes, I agree, we need to put the correct spelling. dont is spelled don't, cant is spelled can't.
You would think we would become better spellers with "spell check." But, what happens is that we rely on spell check and don't think for ourselves. If we had to go get the dictionary every time like the old days, we would remember how to spell a word. In theory at least.
-
Can not remember the Old Days when you used to use slate to write on Rerun ;D >:D
-
Watch it Kevno, Rerun will hit you with the rock she used to write in the dirt with!

You guys are just talking crap because you know she's gone for a couple of days. >:D

Us????Talk crap????

I'm sorry but thats the way I spell. When something is embedded in you, its hard to break. I do use spell check, but as I said I often click on "dint", and sometimes I forget to use it all together. I don't think people are going to put the site down because I miss a few of these things '

Yeah no big deal, as long as the post is readable I'm fine. :-*

Be careful, Kevno! Be very careful! Don't let me enter into this fray. I did use a slate when I was in elementary school in the 50's. So watch it!!!!!

How about adding...
XP
Google
-
What about hemo? I know most members use it. Dx hasnt been added yet, and I use that a lot. I would like to see words like "colour" added, because it is our way of spelling, and its annoying when you have to correct your own correct spelling.
-
Earlier in this post I already added the word 'colour' and other British spelling.
-
More words added to master list:
Haemo
Colour
Hemo
DX
TX
XP
Neph
Google
Centre
Meds
Nephrologist
Epogen
Prednisone
I tried to add CAPD but it still shows as an error. So keep the recommendations coming guys.

Hey can you fix your post (go 2 posts up)? The quote tag is messed up? did you check your thread after you posted? That always helps. Also I would prefer that you save the "colors" and "special tags" for special things, it makes it hard to read sometimes.

Sorry, forgot to check that one, trying to do too many things at once. Post edited. H-L-L

When I spelled defense as defence the spell checker didn't correct me so I assume it is in the spell checker wrong? I am not sure. It was Sandman who corrected me so I went back and fixed it now. Thought I would just let you know :)

Angie, please let's stop posting about the spellcheck and the mistakes it makes, it is an add on module that I have NO control over except for the fact that I can add words to the dictionary. You have made many posts concerning the functionality of the spell check. Stop worrying about your posts if I have a problem with a members posts I will email that particular member via PM and discuss it privately. :)

Oh okay. No problem. I thought you could take out words too that might be wrong. So I am not supposed to post any other words to add like cannulation? I didn't know. I won't post anymore words. Thanks. :)

Hey Sluff, I know you've got nothing else to do ;D but when you have time can you figure out why the spellcheck still shows most of these words as misspellings - even though Epoman added them to the dictionary? Did something change or did they never get added?

Thanks Karol, I looked it up and see it was "responsible for a mass poisoning in the US in 1937". I still can't see why it made it into the spell check and Sluff didn't - even with that knuckleduster & gun he wouldn't do as much damage :rofl; (Sluff I still can't believe you're not teasing me :-\)
