Title: one month to live (from a book not me...)
Post by: kidney4traci on March 02, 2008, 07:19:19 AM
Mother Teresa said that loneliness is the most terrible poverty.
She was right, without love we're emotionally bankrupt.
Love can't be bought, but it definitely carries a price, and it's called sacrifice.
When all is said and done, relationships are all that really matter.
It doesn't matter how much money we have, where we live, or how many beautiful toys we've collected.
None of these can comfort us, console us, cry with us, or love us. Our investment in the people we care about is the only legacy that has the power to endure beyond our lifetime.
If you only had one month to live, whom would you want to spend the time with? Whom would you apologize too? Who needs to be assured today that you love them? What keeps you from spending the time and saying these words now?
Take the time today to show a co-worker, a manager, a volunteer, a patient or family member, that you care about them. So many of us have a tendency to focus on the negative. Don't waste a minute on that! We have alot to be grateful for! Put a smile on your face, and spread some joy! A smile and joy are contagious!

didn't mean to point fingers...I just finished posting on another thread where stauffenberg was really negative, so this hit me as something he might need to read, too.

sorry if I offended...

I would spend the month with my husband and kids.

I would apologize to my kids for the parenting job I did sometimes.

I would assure the kids that I love them.

I have  told them I love them every day.

Words of wisdom.  We all need them.
