Not for Hep C but I do have some knowledge of it as a treatment for cancer. I've heard that it is very unpleasant and has major side effects. From first hand descriptions it is worse in terms of fatigue and lethargy than CKD related anemia. Those side effects go away when the treatment is concluded.

i went through a 'course' of interferon treatment for my hep c a little more than a year ago.
my experience was not a pleasant one, as many interferon users will attest to.
some people are just incapable of handling the effects of it, it seems. at least, that's what i was told after i was on it for six weeks and suddenly developed a gut bleed, which drained all my hemoglobin and put me in hospital, where they gave me steroids, various medications and four units of blood to keep me alive.
shortly thereafter i began dialysis and there has been no mention of my hep c since.
you might have a different experience. i hope its not like mine, anyway, but if you go for it, you will find that you feel tired all the time, as if you have the flu. that seems to be the common experience of most users.
good luck, and hey, this section is supposed to be for people under 18 years. no offense, but your pic (if that's you) looks a tad older than that....
peace

I went through it prior to getting on the transplant lists. 6 months, and the only side effect I had was losing some hair. But not alot, just in some areas and then it stopped after treatment and has grown back in just fine. Some people couldn't even tell, but I could of course. Never really felt bad and never got sick. Probably depends on your immune system and I get regular adjustments from my chiropractor and think that helps alot. Sorry to hear you are dealing with it, it's not fun and some people do have more serious problems.

Grey Ghost, I moved this thread to Other Severe Medical Conditions, out of the 18 area. Hope it helps.
