Hello All,
You can call me CW, I am a hemodialysis patient. I started at 22 and got a TX but it failed in 2007 so I am back on hemo. I am thinking of trying PD. I love making new friends and all (friendly people) are welcome to e-mail me about anything. I hope to help others cope and to offer information I have learned through my experiences. I have a a/v fistula (9years old) I have had a parathyroidectomy, transplant, transplant nephrectomy and a myriad of tests and procedures. I have a daughter and I live in northern California. I am happy to have found a community of patients. I look forward to talking to you all and hope to offer a meaningful contribution to the group.

Hi CW and welcome to IHD. I live in Northern CA too. What is with all this rain!!! Oh well, at least it isn't snow!! Do you go to a DaVita? There aren't many other choices in Northern CA.
I'm looking forward to your posts. You will be a great help. We get lots of new people who are scared to death about this whole dialysis world.
Also, if you need to vent here is the place to go. When family and friends don't understand (which is most of the time) we will listen here at IHD.

Welcome to IHD CW,
We have quite a few members in California, hmm... must be the water. I'm glad you found us because we are all good friends. It is so much easier to tell someone with the same experiences what you feel or what you are going through. Truthfully we understand things where others don't.
We will see you in the forums.

Hi CW,
Hope you and I gain allot of information from this site. I just joined tonight but in looking through it, it looks to be loaded with helpful people and information.
I lived across the state line in Klamath Falls Oregon. Also spent several years living in So.Cal. But it's hard to beat the northwestern part of our country.
Best of luck,
Rick
