Hi,
My husband and I have decided that
my lil "kidney Dog" is getting too weak
and losing her will to live, so she will
go to her Dr. on Monday, and will
peacefully go to heaven.
My Sambuca was a Valintine present from
Les in 1993. She has had kidney failure
for almost 1 yr now, and could not eat
anything but K/D Science Diet dog food.
This weekend she will have steak, chicken,
and much love from her dad and myself.
It is the hardest thing, I really feel for my
poor husband-he is besides himself. In my
heart I know it is the last thing I cando for
her.
I am sorry to post sadness, but needed to
let it out. :'(

So sorry to hear this, our thoughts will be with you all :grouphug;

So sorry Anne. I hope you and your husband get through this, knowing you shared a sweet life with your dog. :grouphug;
-
:( Know that she had a good life with you and will suffer no more.

Oh I am so sorry.
Our pets become family and we love them so.
I had to do it and it broke my heart.
I went around for 3-4 days with red eyes.
I will be thinking of you.

Anne, I am so sorry to hear this. I had to have a cat put down two years ago for a very similar reason, and I still miss him terribly. Know that you have given Sambuca a wonderful life, and you are doing the best thing for him by doing this. Lots of love to all three of you in this very sad time. :grouphug;

Don't forget to take some pictures of your puppy dog being cuddled by her family, so you have some good memories to hang on to.

Anne,
So sorry to hear this. I am almost at the same place as you with my cocker spaniel. She is 15, blind and deaf....but she isn't hurting yet so I wait. Know that you are doing the right thing. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

:'( I am so sorry to hear this, I can only imagine what a hard decision you had to make, I will be thingin of you in this time.

So sorry! I have a cat who I have had since early 1996. I dread the day I have to make that decision. I will definitely be thinking abt you on Monday! :cuddle;

If she is suffering, that is only the kind thing to do. My thoughts are with you both.

You know you are doing what is kindest, but it hurts doesn't it. My Springer Molly has Insulinoma and one day I will have that decision, being cowardly I hope that she will go peacefully and painlessly in her sleep. She is happy at the moment, but we all know when the time has come and it is the las act of love we can perform. I will have you in my thoughts, may your little one rest in peace. :grouphug;

It is very hard to watch your best little buddy suffer and even harder to put them down. I've had to do it too many times. But, the love they give for all those years is such a wonderful memory. God Bless You during this time of loss.

So sorry. One of my saddest days was when my dog passed, minutes before we were going to take her to the dr to let her go anyway. My heart is with you. :grouphug;

It's a sad part of life that dogs and cats age much faster than we do. I've felt your pain many times but eventually another one comes along. Cujo is my 6th dog and I have no idea how many cats I've had. A new puppy will help with the emptiness and sadness and the cycle starts again.
