I have many fond memories from my childhood, but one I remember most is getting up early in the morning to watch The Muppet Show with my dad before he went to work. I didn't get a lot of the jokes then, but it was that time spent with him that I really enjoyed. I have been a life long fan since that point, and can even do a pretty mean Kermit impression. Since father's day is right around the corner I have been thinking about the good times me and my dad had when I was younger and thought I would share this one with everone here. If you could please take the time to vote on your favorite Muppet I would appreciate it (You get 2 votes just in case you are split between 2 characters). Also to all those fathers out there, have a wonderful father's day.

Never heard of some of them... :-\

They are all from the original show, and most have been in the movies as well. I'm sure you know Kermit, Piggy, Animal, Fozzie, and Gonzo. Those are the staple Muppets, and are used in most everything. Busen Honeydew is Muppet Labs scientist and Beaker is his assistant that is always getting blown up. The Swedish Chef is just that a chef that speaks a very odd language of his own, but they call it Swedish. Statler and Waldorf are the two old guys that sit in the balcony seat and make fun of the show as it's going on. Sam is a big blue eagle and usually is trying to bring a bit of class to the show, and always failing I might add. Scooter is a stage hand whose uncle owns the theatre that the Muppet show is held at, in the original TV show at least. Sweetums is a large full person costume that look kinda like a fury Quasimodo. Last is Rolph the piano playing dog. There are many more characters I could add such as the rest of the Electric Mayhem Band (only Animal is currently listed), Rizzo The Rat, and a slew of other bit characters fro the original show. Don't forget you get 2 votes in case you are split between 2 characters.

I remember when I was in the operation room when I was a child, one of the male nurses was doing an impression of the Swedish chef. Threw things behind him, and did that silly voice. :-\ Not Impressed :o

It would have been better if they were doing a veterinarians hospital sketch. Rolph, Piggy, and Janis all standing around you on a table while doing really bad jokes. Still would probably not have been very funny at the time though.

Pigs in Space.... with the pig commander and Miss Piggy just cracked me up as a kid.
Katherine

My favourite would definitely be Miss.Piggy. She certainly knew how to put everyone in their place with her famous karate chop, and Hi-ya!'
My very 1st school bag even had the Muppet's on them so yes I was a big fan!
Also you know who I loved the two guys, in the audience up in the balcony, couldn't remember their names until I came across this site, http://www.kermitage.com/html/characterindex/tms/index.html
also made me remember some characters I had even forgotten about.

Beaker and Bunsen Honeydew for sure! Those mad scientists just cracked me up!

We had nicknames for a few of us in high school.
I was known as Ms. Piggy. Being blond and obstinate were my traits anyway.
A friend named Andy we called Beaker. Andy was six feet tall and skinny.
We called the chemistry teacher Bunsen. (Behind his back, of course. But he knew.)
The muppets were indeed a part of our lives.

This is a great website. I go to www.muppetworld.com which is the official site, but it has no where near the amount of supporting cast that this one has.
